Comedy, unscripted improv television series for pre-teens and teens to go into production in Naples, Florida
Auditions for a new pre-teen and teenage comedy television series will be held in Fort Myers, Florida on Sunday, February 2, 2014.
Novatar Productions’ Chief Executive Officer, Susan Cunningham, announced today that this new television series has already created interest from one of the major television networks. The series is based upon the popular theater and television format known as improvisation. This year the long-running television series known as Who’s Line Is It Anyway? returned to national television. In addition, there are over 48 U.S. resident companies, most of which have touring groups, such as The Second City, which have made the art form very popular with adults. These theater groups have been noticing more and more young people attending their performances. On the basis of this, Novatar Productions research, conceived and created the new series which is known as Kids Prov 123™.
Mike and Judith Santos of Naples, Florida-based Stage2 Improv fame, have been recruited to be Co-directors of Kids Prov 123™. Mike, Judith and their Stage2 Improv troupe are currently performing, in a limited engagement, on Saturdays and Sundays at The Naples Players, Tobye Studio.
Kids Prov 123™ will be taped in front of live pre-teen and teen audiences in Naples, Florida following the February 2 auditions and three subsequent Sunday workshops. A cast of 12, 9-16 year olds, will be selected.
